Make Money with Adsense Tips
Testing the placement of adsense ad blocks on your pages can make a huge difference in your sites advertising revenues. Testing the type of ad blocks you utilize can also be the difference between actually making some money online with adsense and making no money. These tips also seem affective for any affiliate program you use to monetize your sites content.
First please make sure you always follow the guidelines for optimizing , building and placing ads on your sites per adsense program guidelines. These guidelines are very good and should be followed for optimizing any site for any search engine, its just good information.
From my short experience with adsense the following is my version of a map of placing ad blocks for the best conversions or clicks. No = click thru rate was horrible, So So = some clicks achieved, Best Spot = I will always utilize this spot as I am now actually earning and making money online.
Just as the adsense site already stats the best converting ad blocks are large rectangles. Some webmasters like to use red as the color for their links, black seems to work well for myself on white colored background sites. I see no reason to use color backgrounds on any site. The idea is to build fast loading, easy to read sites, most visitors just scan information on pages, i know I do often. The formats I have found to be the most effective are placing two 250×250 Squares next to eachother if they fit, the 336×280 Large Rectangle, and the 300×250 Medium Rectangle. I have the 468×60 banner in use on this blog for now because it looked better on the site and I am not really trying to maximize earnings on this site. I am still in the sites infancy and really focusing on adding content and sharing. I am actually trying to fulfill my original goals for deindexed.com.
The amount of revenue you can earn ofcourse is dependent on the sites theme and content. Finance, credit, mortgage and medical type sites seem to offer webmaster the best opportunity to earn. The keywords on these sites seem to historically have the highest average price per click. Your sites average CPM may be low, it could be high, their are no guarantees for the price you are paid per click.
