My Daughter Sent The Tooth Fairy into Collections
This is the story that made me want a category to share stories and things that make me smile , get mad, or just wonder.
I took my daughter to the orthodontist today. On the way out she was talking to me about her teeth and how she got mad one time when the tooth fairy took her tooth and left her no money. Yes we were bad parents but rest assured she got five bucks under her pillow the next night with a note from the tooth fairy saying the elf that went to retrieve her tooth had made a mistake and was promptly fired.
Anyway, she told me she had written a stern letter to the tooth fairy expressing her disappointment. Yes those were the words she used to me, I was impressed with the verbage of the sentence and thought, she was very calm and business like. As a proud Dad I thought “Wow she’s pretty mature for a ten year old”.
Then the Jersey girl came out with the next explanation from her. She told me that her letter started off with…
Hey Jerk!
You took my tooth and gave me nothing in return for my efforts, if you still need teeth or do not return my tooth I will be forced to send you to the collection agency for prompt payment.
I was in shock, I wasn’t expecting her to say that. I laughed for about twenty minutes. She was very serious during the entire conversation with me and didn’t understand what I found so funny. I still don’t know how a ten year old knows so much about collection agencies.
So I guess kids really do say the darnest things.
