SEO and Yahoo Store

21 November 2008 36 views No Comment

Want to know how to sell online and have some built-in search engine optiomization. Most small businesses should have an online presence. Putting up a website is not that difficult, but having it produce some income is much harder. Spending less and making more money is something all large and small merchants want. So how can you achieve your ultimate internet goals on the cheap?

Yahoo merchant starter has all the bells and whistles for anyone looking to sell goods or servixces via the internet. Each page you build has forms to fill out for optimized seo. Each page you build will automatically be added to a sitemap page that will help your entire site get indexed faster. The I.P. address of your site will be one of Yahoo’s so the result will be more respect from all three major search engines. You will get traffic to your site even if you build it sloppy.

What do you need to start selling online:

  • A domain name – estimated cost about $8-$30 per year
  • Web Hosting – estimated cost about $7-$100 per month
  • Shopping cart software – estimated cost about $10-$100 per month for anything decent
  • Get your site some seo – estimated cost for producing results can cost thousands per month
  • Link Building – estimated cost about $30 per month at least
  • More that I have not mentioned
The above list not only costs money it can take some time to get things going. Do you have the knowledge or the cash? Even if you have unlimited time and cash why spend it? You are in business to make money not spend money.

I have bought and installed numerous shopping carts over the years. I always try something new and try and save myself and my clients some doe on their projects. I always seem to come back to Yahoo or recommend them to Yahoo stores.

  • Low cost domain and hosting – about $30-$40 per month
  • Great shopping cart included
  • Secure enviroment for your users
  • Easy to edit interface even for beginners
  • Site security and backups
  • These stores getting listed in the search engines extremely well!

I’m writing this review because Deindexed.com will be using Yahoo for our shopping cart and store for this site. It only took me about 30 minutes to get the store open and working. Its not yet live because I am adding so many different items for sale. Yahoo also offers webhosting with every mwerchant starter account. You can have a blog and a store under the same account, a very nice feature. I must admit that I tried and move deindexed.com over to the store but I am adding many advanced features to this site that require access to files that Yahoo does not allow. I’ll work around this small obsticle. I love Yahoo store!

Your account will cost less than $30 to open. Your site has so many features. Easy to edit and update. Check it out for yourself, here is the link Yahoo Hosting
