Everybody has their favorite wordpress plugins, I am no exception. I will update this post as I set the settings and activate the plugins I consider essential to building this site.
Incase you are not familiar with plugins they are very easy to install and manage. They offer advance editing, administration, and handle repeatitive tasks for wordpress blogs. They can easily be activated, settings set, and even deactivated when needed with no harm to your site.
- Platinum SEO Plugin – most webmasters use the all in one seo pack, this one is the same but offers afew more bells and whistles.
- Bad Behavior plugin installed – I never used this plugin before but after reading about it it seemed worth a try, I left the default settings on it for now. Its suppose to block bad bots from viewing and scrapping the site it is installed on.
- Dagon Design Sitemap Generator – This is a sitemap generator for the site, I like it more than any other similar sitemap plugin I have used or seen
- RSS Footer plugin – This is suppose to add a link to DeIndexed and a link back to the original post in every post wriiten. If the post gets scrapped at least I get a link back to my site
- StatPress – plugin has website stats for me to view in the admin panel, has all the infoo I like to view easily and quickly in one place.
- Backup Plugin – Makes a backup of my database and saves it for me once a day, very nice and automatic in case anything bad happens
- UBD Block Ad – advertising management plugin, handles the sponsors area when I decide to monetenize this site with some sponsors.
