Link building should always start with good search engine optimisation, also know as proper SEO. Good SEO means building your website properly, using good tactics, strategies and design. - Add your site to DMOZ directory. Most webmasters agree that its extremely hard to get a link in DMOZ, but if you follow their guidelines you should eventually be included. Estimated time about 30 minutes per site to research and write a good title , choose a category correctly, and write a valid description.
- Invest in guaranteed placement on relevant high PR pages that will offer a permanent one way link back to your site for a nominal cost. Estimated time to complete task will be about 10 minutes to research and find each site and about 10 minutes to submit a link.
